One Of These Days 7:48 Total 69:00* Band: Roger Waters David Gilmour Rick Wright Nick Mason Xref: Quality: VG(SP) -HERWIG The sound quality is quite good. -TAP (#50) 8 -OSO Comments: This early DSoTM set is very much like the "The Best Of Tour 72" recording; but, unlike the latter, this includees all the songs uncut. "The Great Gig In The Sky" contains the piano parts, but is still without vocals (although it does feature a special bass solo). "Echoes" lasts 20:00 and there's a very fast and powerful "One Of These Days". Recommended if you want a complete, early DSoTM. -TAP (#50) Indexing is off. On The Run jam. -OSO The sound is dull, although the noise level is tolerable. What really makes you cry is the wrong speed. The whole record is taken from a vinyl which was recorded at a slower speed (for capacity reasons), and played at normal speed. Therefore everything is too fast, too high ... -HERWIG This CD sounds like it was recorded at the wrong speed; it seems slightly faster than it should (Echoes, for example, is less than 20 minutes long). Also, the sound has a tinny quality that makes it annoying to listen to. -ECM
