Comments:  An audience recording of the 17 April show at the Rose
           Bowl. The sound is varied, with many areas of treble
           dropout.  I have a feeling that the person recording this
           show has the microphone attatched to a hat brim and turned
           his head a lot during the show.  The crowd around the
           recordist seems to be VERY inebriated, and tends to be loud
           at rather inopportune times.

           Regardless, the performance is quite good.  The band plays
           everything quite well, and all of the solo breaks are
           good.  It is at these points that I wish the person
           recording the show would've stood still - when he had a good
           (i.e. uninterrupted) "sound line between himself and the
           speakers", the sound is EX, with very clear treble and good
           bass response.  Often, though, treble fades as somebody
           walks in front of the microphone or the recordist turns his
           head.

           The only areas where this CD set is better than _The Live
           Bell_ is that the beginnings of "Astronomy Domine" and "Hey
           You" are complete and intact, and that "High Hopes" doesn't
           have the splice edit in the first verse.

           Ideally, I'd get either _The Live Bell_ or _Moonlight Tunes_
           before _Jurassik Sparks_.

           "Jurassic Sparks" is just plain awful, even by the ROIO
           standards of twenty years ago.  It's a very low fidelity
           analog recording which constantly wavers back and forth
           across the fidelity and volume spectrum until you want to
           scream.  The standard show (no DSoTM set).  The second Rose
           Bowl show, 17 Apr 94.  Packaging is OK, with picture discs,
           but it's not worth it, and my disc 2 was damaged and skips.
           I wouldn't even recommend this one if it were half price and
           you were hard up.  Of course, I know how hard up one can get
           sometimes, in which case...     -ECHOES

           Indeed the crowd is a lot disturbing, but I would have other
           concerts with this sound quality and performance (there are
           some orrible ROIO regarding this tour, e.g. Rome '94). I
           think this ROIO is interesting document (not the best, I
           admit) of the early 'The Division Bell Tour' performance, so
           I still recommend it.  -PELLE
