This is taken from the television broadcast of Pink Floyd's '89 performance in Venice. The sound quality, therefore, is awesome. The performance ain't bad too. This CD contains my absolute favorite performance of Yet Another Movie. The band, especially Dave and Tim, really add to this song here in a way that I have not heard before or since. The guitars float around the song perfectly, adding atmosphere to an already very atmospheric song exactly where it's needed. On the Turning Away is in fine shape too. And many of the other songs have a real feeling of space, adding to the songs immensely, leading me to wonder why they didn't use this instead of Delicate Sound. The band slips up a little, but if you see the video of this, you can tell that it's no big deal. Dave comes in a line late on Wish You Were Here, and then on Money, when Dave yells "Saxophone!" the sax player mysteriously fails to start playing for a few bars. (In the video it looks like he was backstage and had to run up in time for his part). The only problem that I have with the CD is that, due to time constraints, the set was shortened. Only the intro of Shine On was played, most of the first set and One of These Days were eliminated. Other than that, an excellent show and a great Roio. -PK
