Atom Heart Mother Band: Roger Waters* Rick Wright* Nick Mason* David Gilmour* Xref: Quality: G+ Comments: Usually claimed as ``the first ever performance of AtomHeart Mother'', however Atom Heart Mother (then still called The Amazing Pudding) had allready been performed. Still a decent ROIO from a rare period in the Floyds career. - GERHARD Overall the recording is pretty rough. There is frequent distortion and keyboards tend to overwhelm the rest. During the few quiet passages, the sound is listenable, but the rest is not for the casual listener. AHM is pretty rough, the arrangement is different than other versions. There is no orchestra present, and the overall song is much heavier than later versions. Dave's guitar is especially obvious in the mix. Overall, worthwhile for the fanatic, but not much here for the casual fan that prefers his RoIOs to be direct feed from the board. - ANON
