David Gilmour on Saturday Night Live (12/12/87)

Dave plays a lovely tune which has never appeared on any album
(Floydian or otherwise) that I am aware of.  He doesn't even give
it a title.  Whatever it was, it sounds great.  Dave and GE Smith
(the resident guitarist for SNL) pound their way through this
marvelous rocking instrumental.

The good news that a TV network called Comedy Central
occasionally plays a "merry"thon of christmas-oriented SNL shows. 
That means that they repeat the 12/12/87 show at least once a
year.  It'll require a bit of dedication, but it does give you
the opportunity to tape it for yourself.  (I've taped it twice -
don't ask me why...)
