Comments: First show of 'The Wall' Tour and you can tell. Lot's of things are clearly 'first-performance' errors.

During 'Empty Space' a curtain caught fire, which made Roger stop the show in order to have it put out.

After the fire was out, Roger sais :" Wasn't that Exciting?"

'Another Brick In The Wall Part 3' is a very long version with some great jamming in the middle.

The band had to extend this song for a few minutes more because the brick-builders ran a little behind. (Gosh, they should do that more often. This song is the highlight of the show).

I used to have a tape of this show, but either my tape came from a different taper or the makers of this roio did some very fine processing. On my tape, I could clearly hear people from the audience making comments on the (female) DJ-host ('What's That Chick Doing On Stage' and 'Take it Off' :-) ).

On The Azimuth Coordinator, these comments can not be heard, so they either have 'cut' them out or a different source was used.

The second 'announcements' (Here labelled as 'Isn't This Where We Came In?' is in 'straight' voice. At later performanced this announcement was a direct copy of what the host had said before the show, but with a 'distorted' voice, like a vocoder or something like that had been used.

The 'drift aaway blues' does not belong to this show, but is the extra encore of the 6jul77 show in Montreal (which can be found on disks 3 and 4 of the Azimuth Coordinator and on the Azimuth Coordinator part 2 set).

The sound quality is not to bad, but certainly isn't great either. There are a few disturbances now and again esp. during 'Another Brick In The Wall pt.2' and at the beginning of 'Comfortably Numb'.

But it still is a great show to have. Not a perfect Wall show but, like said before, just the ABITW pt3 jamming alone, makes this a real treasure.

This is part 3 of 3 of the already famous 6 CD set 'The Azimuth Coordinator' now also released as 3 double-CD's (But without the book, of course). -ANDRE
